Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2nd August 2026

This policy explains what personal information The Peptologist collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, The Peptologist is the data controller of your personal information. Our contact details are at the end of this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Name, billing address, delivery address, email address and phone number
  • Account details if you register — username and password
  • Order history, including items purchased, returned or cancelled
  • Any information you include when you contact us by email or through a contact form
  • Your email address if you sign up to our mailing list

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type and operating system

Payment information

We do not collect or store your full card details. Payments are processed directly by Stripe, who handle your card information under their own privacy policy and security standards. We receive only confirmation of payment, the last four digits of the card, and limited transaction details.

You can read Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are outweighed by your rights, and we believe they are not. You can object to this processing at any time — see Your rights below.

Marketing

We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in. Our mailing list is managed through Klaviyo, who process your email address, name and order history on our behalf to send those emails and tell us whether they were opened.

Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything we have already sent.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional emails — order confirmations, dispatch notifications and replies to your enquiries — as we need these to fulfil your order.

Where data leaves the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards — a UK adequacy decision for the destination country, or the International Data Transfer Agreement and UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, which both providers operate under.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
